In celebration of International Vegan Day on the 1st of November, kicking off this months recommendations is resident vegan Sophie!
“Mildreds is tucked away on a quiet street of Soho and inside you will find a vibrant atmosphere and a delicious array of foods.
Mildreds is a vegan and vegetarian restaurant with a wonderful mix of small plates which can be combined for a tapas style meal to share, as well as larger main dishes.
A favourite among many are Mildreds own burgers, two of which are vegan with the option to add cheese and the other is a halloumi burger.
A treat for most vegans who visit Mildreds are the huge selection of deserts, ranging from cake, to cheesecake to ice-cream.
It is not only vegans and veggies who adore the wide variety Mildreds has to offer, with so many options and flavoursome treats, the cuisine at Mildreds offers something for everyone and really does show how versatile vegan food is.
Sophie’s top choices are:
Starter- gyoza dumplings with sweet chilli and soya dip
Main- classic burger: smoked tofu, lentil, piquillo pepper, in a focaccia bun with relish, rocket, red onion and tomato
Desert- espresso creme caramel with pistachio biscotti
(They may not go well together, but they’re all so good!)
And if all that is not enough, they have a large cocktail menu to boot!”
